JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville University scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to down Georgia Southern, 6-5, in college softball action on Thursday evening in Jacksonville.
The Dolphins improve to 3-12 with the win, while Georgia Southern falls to 4-7. The Eagles continue their Florida trip on Friday, traveling to Madeira Beach for the Spring Games. Georgia Southern opens up the Spring Games by taking on Albany at 4 p.m. on Friday from ROC Park.
Georgia Southern built a 3-0 lead against the Dolphins thanks to some key baserunning. A first and third situation in the second inning saw pinch runner Courtney Ball score from third on a throw down to second.
