STATESBORO -The Georgia Southern football team capped its Monday practice with a dip in Beautiful Eagle Creek, continuing the tradition of "baptizing" seniors of the program.
With this year's tradition back to the last practice in preseason on the banks of Beautiful Eagle Creek, head coach Chad Lunsford waded into the "magical" waters of the creek along with the senior class. After practice ended Monday, the team gathered around Coach Lunsford for words of encouragement. Tuesday technically ends preseason camp with classes starting Wednesday, but the Eagles still have almost two weeks of work to put in before game-week preparations begin.
