STATESBORO - For Georgia Southern women's basketball senior Nicole Gwynn, family has been a big catalyst in developing what kind of student-athlete she has become.
As the Eagles' leading scorer this season and the only player to start every game of the year, she is used to being relied upon on the court by her coaches and teammates.
But the Hartford, Connecticut, native has never forgotten why she plays and what she's looking for in both her on-court and off-court family, one that she has found in Statesboro.
In her early years, Nicole was not immediately tempted by basketball.
