NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern freshman Sarunchana Rattanasin has been named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced today.
Rattanasin tied for 10th at the Mercer Invitational after firing 78-73-72=223 (+7) and leading the Eagles to their third consecutive second-place finish. The average score for a round in the tournament was 77.20, and Rattanasin shot 73 in the second round and 72 on the final day, tying teammate Emma Bell for the second-lowest score of the day.
Rattanasin finished in the top-12 in all four tournaments in the fall and posted two top-5s, placing second at the Buccaneer Classic Oct.
