STATESBORO – The 21st-ranked Georgia Southern baseball team will host the first-ever Statesboro Regional at J.I. Clements Stadium beginning on Friday, June 3. The pool includes No. 2 seed Notre Dame, No. 3 seed Texas Tech, and No. 4 seed UNCG.
Georgia Southern finished the regular season with a 40-18 record after going 2-1 in the Sun Belt Championships in Montgomery, Alabama. The Eagles were selected to host a regional for the first time in program history, earning the 16th national seed and getting paired up with the Knoxville Regional. The winners in Knoxville and Statesboro will get paired with each other for a Super Regional series on June 10-13.
