Georgia Southern women’s soccer heads to Boiling Springs, North Carolina for their third match of the 2019 season on Friday to take on Gardner-Webb.
The Eagles enter the game 1-1 in regular season play, fresh off a 4-0 thrashing of The Citadel on Sunday.
GS opened the season with a close loss to Maryland, 2-1, in College Park. After the defeat, interim Head Coach Josh Moffet still felt proud of the team’s potential and future after a disappointing 5-12 record in 2018.
Moffet was quick to point out that lessons from both the win and loss are important to keep in mind for the Gardner-Webb match.
