Georgia Southern baseball travels to Texas where they open up 2019 Sun Belt Conference play against UT-Arlington.
The Eagles come in off of a narrow road loss to Georgia Tech during the week, and with a 7-8 overall record, look to start off the conference play fast. On the home side, the Mavericks come in at 11-6 with a non-conference schedule that featured just one game against a power five conference team, losing to Oklahoma 1-9 on Tuesday. In comparison, GS has faced four different power-five teams, including ranked Auburn and UGA.
A year after finishing 18-11 in the conference the Eagles look to build off of last year's success, and are primed to do so with the pitching match ups this weekend.
