New Orleans, La. --- Georgia Southern left-handed pitcher Jacob Phillips was awarded with the Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week honor, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon (March 25th).
In Phillip's two appearances of the week, he would secure wins in both a 5-4 win over Kennesaw State and a 5-1 victory over App State, his first wins of the season. Combined, the senior would throw for 8.2 innings and only allowed a singular run in that span. Phillips would only allow three combined hits and one walk, while striking out nine batters on the week.
