STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern football squad held its first preseason scrimmage on Saturday at Allen E. Paulson Stadium with both sides of the balls showing positives signs as the second week of practice comes to a conclusion.
"It's really only practice eight, so there's still some sloppiness and things that have to get better," said head coach Chad Lunsford. "On the positive side, we did 90 plays and we got that done in an hour and 15 minutes. I thought the guys did a really good job humming through it and getting after it to try and get the play count in.
