STATESBORO - Georgia Southern men's basketball will host Northern Illinois, while women's basketball will travel to play Ohio to open up the 2024-25 season on November 4 as a part of the MAC-SBC Challenge, announced today by league officials.
The challenge - a scheduling alliance between the two leagues in its second year - will kick off during the opening week of the 2024-25 season. Game times for the Eagle men against NIU and for the women at Ohio will be determined later.
The second MAC-SBC Challenge contest for each team during the 2024-25 season will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, with the matchups, based on real-time NET rankings, to be announced in January.
