STATESBORO - The No. 65-ranked Georgia Southern women's tennis defeated Mercer, 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Wallis Tennis Center.
The Eagles (8-2) defended its newly-minted ITA national ranking by blanking the Bears (2-7) to run its current win streak to three. Georgia Southern wraps up its non-conference schedule on Friday, hosting South Carolina State in a Noon contest at Wallis.
Georgia Southern earned the doubles point by taking a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles from Juliette Nask and Evelyn Warkentin, as well as a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles from Hannah Eifert and Franzi Heinemann.
