ORLANDO, Fla. - No. 25 UCF women's tennis defeated visiting Georgia Southern, 6-1, on Saturday morning at the USTA National Collegiate Campus' indoor courts in Orlando.
The Knights moved to 1-0 on the Spring while Georgia Southern finished its season-opening Florida trip at 1-1. The Eagles will return to Statesboro on Saturday to open up their home slate with a 10 a.m. matchup with Florida Gulf Coast.
UCF swept all three doubles matches against the Eagles to take the doubles point. The Knights then won straight-set singles wins at No. 2 through No. 5 singles to clinch the team victory.
