STATESBORO - Georgia Southern redshirt freshman forward Elis Nemtsov and sophomore center back Sade Heinrichs have been named the Sun Belt Conference's Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, announced by the league on Tuesday.
This is the first time since joining the league in 2014 that Georgia Southern has swept the weekly Sun Belt women's soccer awards.
Nemtsov tallied a goal in each of Georgia Southern's two wins last week. She scored from the spot in Thursday evening's 2-1 win over Troy, then tallied the game-winning goal in Sunday's 2-0 victory at ULM.
