STATESBORO - Georgia Southern men's tennis opened up its Fall season over the weekend, competing in the Samford Invitational over three days.
The Eagles faced off against players from host Samford, UAB and North Alabama with singles and doubles action each day. Collectively, Georgia Southern went 14-8 in singles play and 3-8 in doubles action. Individually, Aaron James Williams, Dimitris Paliouras and Matthew Mitchell highlighted the weekend by going unbeaten in singles play.
"First off, thank you to Coach Oliver and Samford for putting on a great event," Georgia Southern head men's tennis coach Andrew Goodwin said.
