Men’s Golf Wins Stroke Play, Advances to Match Play at Sun Belt Championships

EL DORADO, Ark. – Ben Carr posted a team-low 75, and the Georgia Southern men's golf team shot two strokes lower than Little Rock to tie the Trojans for first in the stroke play portion of the Sun Belt Championship at Mystic Creek Golf Club Tuesday.

The Eagles win stroke play by virtue of winning the tiebreaker - the cumulative of Georgia Southern's non-counting score in each round was 236, 12 strokes better than Little Rock's 248. The top-4 teams advance to match play tomorrow, and the Eagles (+25) will be the top seed and play Georgia State (+40), which finished fourth.
