Men’s Golf Tied for Sixth after First Round in Tennessee

JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. – Ben Carr shot a 68, while Hogan Ingram and Wilson Andress posted a 71 to lead the Georgia Southern men's golf team in the first round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate Sunday at Blackthorn Golf Club.

Host East Tennessee State (-11) is tied with Louisville for the lead, and the Eagles (-4) are tied with Furman, one back of fifth-place Virginia Tech. Charlotte (-8) is third, and College of Charleston (-6) is in fourth.

Carr is tied with seven others for the individual lead after making six birdies today, including three on the back nine as the senior shot 3-under on the side.
