BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. – West Virginia native Mason Williams shot a 70, and the Georgia Southern men's golf team recorded the second-lowest score of the second round to move into a tie for fourth after 36 holes of the Mountaineer Invitational Monday at Pete Dye Golf Club.
The Eagles (+27) are tied with Loyola (Md.), two strokes behind Chattanooga in third and four ahead of UConn (+31) in sixth. Southern Mississippi (+13) leads the tournament, and host West Virginia (+16) is second.
Brett Barron (+4) is tied for sixth, and Williams (+5) is tied for ninth.
