STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern men's golf team shot 11-under on the front nine and 3-under on hole 18 to take the lead on day two of the Schenkel Invitational Saturday at Forest Heights Country Club.
The Eagles posted a 276, the best round of this year's tournament and Georgia Southern's lowest at the Schenkel since 2014. Brett Barron moved into first on the individual leaderboard by shooting a 66, and Steven Fisk carded a 67.
Barron's round was the lowest for an Eagle at the Schenkel since Bryan Jones shot 66 in 2007.
