EL DORADO, Ark. – The Georgia Southern men's golf team shot the second-lowest score in the first round and the third-lowest in the second, and the Eagles are in second place after 36 holes of the Sun Belt Championship at Mystic Creek Golf Club Sunday.
The Eagles (+8) are two strokes behind Little Rock (+6), and UTA (+18) is in third. Georgia State (+24) is in fourth, while ULM (+25) is in fifth, a stroke ahead of Appalachian State (+26). The top four teams advance to match play, which is scheduled for Wednesday.
Ben Carr (+1) shot 74-71=145 and is tied for second on the individual leaderboard, while Wilson Andress (+2) and Mason Williams are both tied for fourth after posting 73-73=146.
