BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. – Ben Carr shot a 68, the third-lowest score of the day, and the Georgia Southern men's golf team finished third in the Mountaineer Invitational Tuesday at Pete Dye Golf Club.
The Eagles' 1-over 289 as a team tied for the third-lowest of the day, and they held off Loyola (Md.) (+33) by five strokes. Tournament host West Virginia (+9) carded a 281 today to blow by Southern Mississippi (+21) and win the event.
Brett Barron carded a 73 to tie Carr for seventh, and Mason Williams shot a 74 to tie for 11th.
