STATESBORO– Georgia Southern men's basketball will take a foreign tour to the Dominican Republic, where it will spend five days training and playing games against local teams from July 22-27.
The Eagles will play a pair of games and practice the whole week at Polideportivo Eleoncio Mercedes (Eleoncio Mercedes Sports Center) in La Romana, home of the Cañeros del Este of the National Professional Basketball League.
GS will be stationed at the Casa de Campo resort for the trip and will play games on Wednesday and Friday in La Romana.
Following the two games, the team will take a boat cruise to Saona Island and spend Saturday there before returning to Statesboro on Sunday.
