The Georgia Southern men’s basketball team defeated the Troy Trojans 76-51 in an exciting and entertaining game Friday night in front of a packed Hanner Fieldhouse crowd. The team improves to 16-10 and 8-5 in the conference.
Starting the game after a 25 minute delay, GS came out aggressive and accurate in the paint. They shot 43.8 percent compared to Troy’s 28.3 percent.
Troy struggled the entire game with scoring and found themselves playing catch up. They were held to 26 percent in the paint in the first half, and several Trojans found themselves in foul trouble early on.
