STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern men's basketball coach Mark Byington announced today that the Eagles have accepted a bid to play in the College Basketball Invitational presented by FIVE FOUR. Georgia Southern will open the tournament by hosting Utah Valley University on Wednesday, March 15, at 7 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
It's the seventh postseason bid for the men's basketball program in the Division I era and the first since the Eagles played in the 2006 NIT.
