STATESBORO– Former Georgia Southern men's basketball guard Malik Tidwell has signed a pro contract with BC Amra Gagra in the Georgia (EUR) Superleague.
Tidwell spent his senior season with the Eagles in 2023-24, appearing in 31 of 33 games, starting five, averaging 5.8 points and 1.5 rebounds. He shot 41 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from beyond the arc, scoring in double figures seven times. He scored a season-best 18 on 6-9 shooting against Marshall on Feb. 28.
His crucial step-back three-pointer with 17 seconds left earned the Eagles their first-round victory over South Alabama in the Sun Belt Tournament in 2024, following that with 11 against App State in the quarterfinals.
