The Ragin' Cajuns improved to 4-11 overall and 2-2 in the Sun Belt with the win, while Georgia Southern fell to 5-10 overall and 0-4 in the league with the loss.
A high-scoring first quarter had the Eagles up by two, 18-16, but Louisiana held Georgia Southern to just 10 points in the second quarter, building an 34-28 advantage at the break. The Eagles were within four points, 46-42, midway through the fourth quarter but the Ragin' Cajuns hit 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the final minute to clinch the victory.
