STATESBORO - Georgia Southern second baseman Jesse Sherrill has earned Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week honors after a stellar week behind the dish.
Sherrill continued his white-hot tear this week, batting a team-high .769 through the previous four games, setting him at .429 at the end of the weekend which leads the Sun Belt ... Sherrill went 10-for-13 at the dish with three walks, three HBP, scoring eight runs of his own and bringing in four more of his own ... With a slugging percentage of 1.000 and an OB% of .
