MOBILE, ALA. – Community outreach and competition between the teams were the major themes as Georgia Southern Football had another outstanding day in Mobile. The Eagles sit just two days away from the program's first bowl game, the 2015 GoDaddy Bowl against Bowling Green.
Fourteen student-athletes along with Interim Head Coach Dell McGee made the trip Monday morning to the University of South Alabama Children's and Women's Hospital. The Eagles met with patients in the Pediatric Ward and Young Adults Ward and brought them gift bags, stuffed footballs and a smile.
The generosity of Eagle Nation was on full display as Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation President Kevin Bostian and Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein presented GoDaddy Bowl Tickets to representatives from Kessler Air Force Base.
