BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Rickey Holden scored a game-high 16 points and hit the game-winning free throws with 10.9 seconds left to lift CSU Bakersfield to a 55-53 men's basketball victory over Georgia Southern Saturday afternoon in the Icardo Center.
David-Lee Jones Jr. drove to the basket on the last possession of the game, but had his contested layup attempt come off the front of the rim. Montae Glenn's tip-in try rolled off the right side as the horn sounded to end the contest.
Glenn led Georgia Southern (8-3) with 13 points to go along with a team-high seven rebounds, and Quan Jackson tallied 11 points, five rebounds, a block and a steal.
