STATESBORO, Ga - Stetson University defeated the Georgia Southern women's tennis team 5-2 on Friday afternoon in Statesboro at the Wallis Tennis Center. The Eagles move to 6-5 on the 2019 season.
Elizabeth Goines and Luisa Hrda came out strong and took both their singles matches. Goines defeated Danielle Peele, 3-6, 6-4, 10-2 and Hrda defeated Alexe Viaud, 6-4, 6-1 to earn two points for the Eagles.
Paula Boixader and Elizabeth Goines defeated Danielle Peele and Alexe Viaud, 6-1, in doubles play this afternoon. The Hatters earned the doubles point by winning two doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead over the Eagles early on.
