STATESBORO - Matt Hassan has been named the assistant athletics director for football operations at Georgia Southern as announced Wednesday by head coach Clay Helton. Hassan comes to Statesboro after serving as the director of football operations at Troy football the previous two seasons.
Hassan is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Eagle football program including team travel, meals, scheduling and controlling the program's budget.
"I would like to thank Coach Helton, Jared Benko and Chris Davis for entrusting me with this role," Hassan said.
