MONROE, La. - Ashleigh Morton hurled a two-hitter in the nightcap and Georgia Southern smashed four home runs in a Sun Belt Conference doubleheader split at UL Monroe on Friday afternoon at the ULM Softball Complex. ULM won the first game, 14-13, but the Eagles took the second game, 9-1, in five innings.
The Eagles (17-19, 4-10 SBC) and the Warhawks (7-30, 3-11 SBC) will wrap up their three-game series on Saturday with a single game at 3 p.m. ET, moved up one hour from its originally scheduled game time.
"In the first game, I thought our offense did an incredible job fighting back and chipping away at the ULM lead," Georgia Southern Head Coach Kim Dean said.
