STATESBORO - Three Eagle pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout as Georgia Southern softball celebrated Senior Day with a 2-0 Sun Belt Conference victory over visiting Georgia State on Saturday at Eagle Field.
The win completes a Sun Belt series sweep for the Eagles (23-27, 9-17 SBC) and gives Georgia Southern momentum heading into next week's Sun Belt tournament in San Marcos, Texas. Georgia Southern will be the No. 7 seed and will play sixth-seeded Coastal Carolina at 1:30 p.m. ET on the campus of Texas State in Wednesday's first round of action. The full bracket will be released later today by the league.
