STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with visiting Georgia State on Saturday evening at Eagle Field, earning a key point in the Sun Belt Conference standings.
The Eagles (5-5-3, 1-0-1 SBC) remained unbeaten in the league standings, as did the Panthers (8-4-2, 1-0-2). Both teams also earned a 1/2 point in the 2018-19 edition of the Southern vs. State Rivalry Series, which now stands at 1 1/2-1/2 in favor of GS. Georgia Southern returns to action on Saturday, October 27th, hosting Appalachian State at 7 p.m. for Senior Night at Eagle Field.
