JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Georgia Southern baseball team won its 12th-straight game over the Jacksonville Dolphins on Wednesday night at John Sessions Stadium. The all-time record in the series moves to 77-60 in favor of the Eagles.
Both starting pitchers were locked in a duel in the first two innings, but Jacksonville (22-12) got on the board first with two runs that were scored due to two Eagles errors in the bottom of the third inning. Georgia Southern (16-17) responded with three runs in the top of the fifth inning to take a brief lead, the first two runs coming from a two-RBI single up the middle and and the third run coming from a groundout by that scored .
