LAFAYETTE, LA. - Georgia Southern Baseball hit a season-high five home runs on Sunday to take a 9-1 win over Louisiana to take the series win. Four of the bombs were of the conventional variety, while the fifth came on a Jordan Wren inside the park job. Seth Shuman allowed one run off four hits to improve to 5-0 on the season. The Eagles visit Kennesaw State on Wednesday before hosting Arkansas State this weekend.
The series win was Georgia Southern's 12th straight road series win in conference play, dating back to the 2015 season.
