STATESBORO - Georgia Southern placed six student-athletes on the 2024 Football Academic All-District Team, as announced by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) this week.
The four Eagles named to the squad are: offensive lineman Caleb Cook, punter/holder Matthew Daniel, tight end Tyler Fromm, defensive back Chance Gamble, running back David Mbadinga and offensive lineman Pichon Wimbley. For Wimbley and Fromm, it's their second time being honored.
The criteria to make the team are as follows:
Academic standing:
- Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
