NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Sun Belt Conference announced on Wednesday that the league will sponsor men's soccer again starting Fall 2022. Georgia Southern and eight other institutions will become members of the newly re-formed soccer conference.
Current Sun Belt members Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina, and Georgia State will be joined by incoming members James Madison, Marshall, and Old Dominion. Kentucky, South Carolina, and West Virginia are joining the Sun Belt as affiliate members for men's soccer only.
"These elite programs will lend instant credibility and help establish the Sun Belt as one of the nation's premier men's collegiate soccer conferences," said Commissioner Keith Gill.
