STATESBORO - Two nine-run innings helped the Georgia Southern baseball team dominate Mercer 21-7 on Tuesday night at J.I. Clements Stadium. The win gives the Eagles the season sweep over the Bears.
The Eagles got on the board first with an Austin Thompson two-RBI double, bringing Jesse Sherrill and Christian Avant home to give Georgia Southern (35-17) a 2-0 lead after the first inning.
