STATESBORO, Ga. – Following the Sunday afternoon game against Texas State, members of the Georgia Southern Baseball team shaved their heads to support the fight against childhood cancer and raise funds for the Vs. Cancer Foundation. 67 Styles Salon in Statesboro was on hand to do the cutting, volunteering their talents on Sunday afternoon.

Georgia Southern teamed up with the Vs. Cancer Foundation to help kids in the local community battling cancer. The Eagles surpassed this year's goal of raising $8,000 by raising over $11,000 toward the cause. Half of the proceeds will go toward national childhood cancer research, while the remaining half will be donated to a local children's hospital.
