SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Georgia Southern men's soccer collected program victory number 300 on Sunday afternoon in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Eagles blanked Wofford 2-0, to improve to 2-2-0 on the season.
Jose Eduardo Bomfim started in net for the Eagles on Sunday, earning his first victory and clean sheet of 2021. The Salvador, Brazil native stopped four shots on the night, as the Eagles backline stood strong in the final 10 minutes of the match.
Both sides used the first half as a feeling out period, combining for four shots before halftime. The Eagles lead that shot total 3-1, before tallying eight in the second half.
