MACON, Ga. - Jack Stallings will be inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, the organization announced on Thursday. The induction will take place on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the historic Macon City Auditorium in Macon, Ga.
A prolific college baseball coach with a career that spanned 39 years, Jack Stallings began his career as Assistant Coach at his alma mater of Wake Forest, and became the Demon Deacons Head Coach in 1960. After nine seasons, he became the Head Coach at Florida State, and in 1970 led the Seminoles to the College World Series, where they finished as runners-up.
