STATESBORO - Georgia Southern football fans will be busy on Sundays this fall trying to keep up with all of the Eagles in the NFL as five former players made initial 53-man rosters of NFL squads. Squads had to make final cuts from 80 to 53 by Tuesday.
All five of those who made rosters were on teams last year. The Eagles had two running backs, two kickers and a defensive back make rosters.
Making their respective squads were, in alphabetical order: Tyler Bass (PK, Buffalo), Matt Breida (RB, New York Giants), Younghoe Koo (PK, Atlanta), Jerick McKinnon (RB, Kansas City) and Kindle Vildor (CB, Chicago).
