AUBURN, Ala. - Georgia Southern's first action of the 2022 campaign resulted in an exhibition contest at Auburn that covered two days. The host Tigers scored twice on Monday evening, then outscored the Eagles 2-1 on Tuesday morning for the 4-1 exhibition victory.
The two teams were scheduled to play three 30-minute periods, but only made it through one of the periods on Monday evening.
In that period, Auburn's Anna Haddock scored a pair of goals in a nine-minute stretch to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. Simone Timm recorded the Eagles' lone shot of the period, and Auburn had a 6-1 edge in shots through the first 30 minutes.
