STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Baseball secured the series win with a 7-3 victory over Fairfield on Saturday afternoon on Jack Stallings Field at J.I. Clements Stadium. The Eagles scored runs in the first three innings and rode the arm of Seth Shuman to improve to 3-3 on the year. Georgia Southern closes the weekend series against the Stags on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
Shuman continued to deal on the mound, working seven innings to take his second win of the season and improve to 10-0 on his career. He fanned eight batters and scattered six hits and allowed just three runs in his final inning of work.
