STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern football team held its annual Blue-White Game, presented by Morris Bank, Southern Exchange, The Sack Company and Savannah/Hilton Head International Saturday at Allen E. Paulson Stadium as the squad wrapped up its spring practice session. Using a mixed scoring system where both sides of the ball could earn points, the offense topped the defense 48-31.
Freshman got the Eagles on the board on the first drive with a 27-yard field goal before hit for the first touchdown. A pair of big plays helped the offense widen its lead as connected with on a long scoring pass before busted a long run up the middle for another score.
