TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Georgia Southern softball notched a pair of wins on Friday, opening up the FSU Dugout Club Classic with a 7-3 win over Colgate and a 2-1 eight-inning win over UMass in Tallahassee, Fla.
The Eagles (9-8) will continue action in the Classic on Saturday, taking on UMass at 10 a.m. and then facing host and No. 5-ranked Florida State at 12:15 p.m.
GAME ONE: Georgia Southern 7, Colgate 3
The Eagles spotted Colgate (6-8) two runs in the top of the third inning, then plated five runs of their own - keyed by an RBI single by Janai Conklin and a two-run double by Dejah Mills.
