SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – A combined 12 runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings helped the Georgia Southern baseball squad clinch the series against the 10th-ranked Texas State Bobcats on Saturday afternoon with a 13-11 victory Saturday afternoon. The Eagles will go for the sweep of the Bobcats on Sunday.
Texas State got the scoring started early with a two-run homer in the first frame. The Eagles would make a dent in the score in the top of the fourth inning when Noah Ledford brought Jason Swan home on a ground out to the shortstop.
