STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Baseball split a Saturday doubleheader with No. 9 Georgia. The Eagles dropped the opener 4-2, but circled the wagons and took a 10-7 win in the finale on Saturday night. The win over a Top-10 team is the first since May 30, 2014, when the Eagles defeated No. 4 Florida State in the Tallahassee Regional.

Georgia Southern avoided the sweep with a 10-7 win over the Bulldogs in Saturday's second game. The story of the game was written in the sixth inning when the Eagles plated seven runs off zero hits, three walks, three hit batters and a costly three-base error that plated three runs.
