STATESBORO, Ga.- In a clean sweep, the Georgia Southern women's tennis team defeated Florida A&M 7-0 on Saturday at home to improve to 9-5 on the season and 4-3 at the Wallis Tennis Center. The win against the Rattlers is the second one against a Florida team this week as the Eagles topped Bethune-Cookman 4-3 on Wednesday.
Due to possible rain, singles were played first, and the Eagles dominated with all six of them earning points for GS.
"We got off to a slow start today, but our girls did a great job stepping up and turning the majority of the matches around," head coach Michele Stanford said.
