Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. - The Georgia Southern softball team split a pair of games on the opening day of the Madeira Beach Invitational, pulling out a 4-2 win over Jacksonville State before falling to Monmouth 9-4 in the second game of the day.
In the opener, Logan Harrell came through in the clutch, driving in a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning to score the winning runs in a 4-2 victory over Jacksonville State. In the night cap, the Eagles rallied from an early four-run deficit to tie the game up, but the hard-hitting Hawks were too much for the Eagles in pulling away for the win.
